Research is meaningful –
but even more so when done together.
In this section, you’ll find the projects I lead and shape collectively, driven by the belief that knowledge grows through dialogue and exchange.

The Canadian Climate Framing (CCF) project

How has climate change been talked about in Canada — from the disco era to the digital age? The Canadian Climate Framing Project traces how over 20 French and English newspapers have framed climate change since the late 1970s. From economic threat to public health crisis, from scientists to politicians, we explore who speaks for the climate, how the issue is presented, and what solutions are proposed. With the most extensive media database on the topic in Canada to date, our research offers unique insights into the evolving climate narrative across time, regions, and languages.

The Climate Policy in Sports (CPS) project

What happens to the Olympics when there’s no snow — or too much heat? The Climate Policy in Sports Project explores how organizers of major sports mega-events like the Olympic Games are adapting to climate realities. From holding ski competitions on artificial snow to racing under heatwaves, we investigate how event planners manage risk, protect athletes, and try to reduce their carbon footprint. Using content analysis and interviews, this project sheds light on the tensions between spectacle, sustainability, and survival in the age of climate disruption.
