My approach
Teaching climate politics in a world on fire is no easy task — but that’s exactly why I believe it should be creative, interactive, and deeply human. Known among my peers for using unconventional methods, I aim to break the mold of passive learning.
Whether it’s taking students on reflective walks, inviting leading voices in the field, or turning assignments into photo-essays, policy briefs, or simulations, I strive to design experiences that spark curiosity and counter eco-anxiety. In an age of short attention spans and urgent challenges, I see the classroom as a space for imagination, dialogue, and action.

Climate Politics
For two consecutive years, I’ve co-taught Politiques environnementales comparées (Comparative Environmental Politics) with Julie Levasseur at the University of Montreal. This course introduces students to the major schools of environmental thought, key environmental actors and institutions, and the core tools of environmental policy. Designed to offer a wide range of perspectives — from Indigenous to Global South to Western viewpoints — it features guest speakers from across the field, including political leaders, journalists, activists, and researchers, to inspire action and critical thinking.

Sports and Politics
Sport is never just sport. I am proud to announce that I will teach a new course in 2026. Here, students will explore how politics plays out on the field and behind the scenes — from national pride and global diplomacy to the big business and big questions surrounding today’s sports world. With guest talks from ex-athletes, journalists, and decision-makers from major sporting events, the class opens up timely conversations on governance, climate, inequality, and the future of sport.

Workshop organizer for summer schools
Beyond teaching, I’ve also contributed to academic programming by organizing and leading workshops. At CÉRIUM’s Summer School on climate politics, I was invited to lead a hands-on session on writing climate policy briefs.
I also co-organized with Julie Levasseur a summer school for prospective university students (aged 14-17), where we introduced them to key issues in climate politics through accessible and engaging classroom experiences.
